From day one at Peak Seven to building a new creative capability for the whole department — here's how Year One actually went.
"I think this is the best thing you've done so far while working here."— Steve
From the first AI-generated video in Peak Seven's toolkit to building a system the organic social team now runs — every production this year started with a real brief, served a real client, and met a real deadline. Not experiments. Deliverables.
Beyond the cost savings: AI didn't just replace what would have been spent — it multiplied what was actually made. Productions that would have yielded a handful of assets came back with full libraries. Photoshoots got extended into new angles, scenes, and formats that didn't exist in the original shoot. More output, from the same starting point.
Six directions. All building toward a more capable, more connected creative department.
The X100 bootcamp opened doors to what's possible when AI is applied at a company-wide level. Year Two brings those learnings directly into the art department — incorporating the frameworks, strategies, and tools so the whole creative team benefits from what was learned, not just the people in the room.
Peakasso started as a ChatGPT prompt tool. Year Two is about taking it to what it was always meant to be: a true creative AI agent with a growing skill set — brand kits, asset resizing, email production, legibility testing, and more. Each skill repeatable, scalable, and compounding on the last.
Once the toolkit is built, the next step is making it personal. AI assistants built around each team member's workflow, style, and brand knowledge — not a generic tool, but a creative partner that already knows your clients, your standards, and how you work.
Every new tool and capability is an opportunity to bring the team along. Year Two includes hands-on workshops and demos — showing the team how to apply AI in their own workflows. The goal isn't to be the only one who can do this. The goal is to raise the whole department's capability.
The best creative AI work doesn't happen in a silo. Year Two is about getting into those conversations earlier — working alongside other departments and the teams already driving Peak Seven's AI direction so what gets built is actually useful to the people doing the work every day.
Being in the room matters. Part of Year Two is being present at key internal and client meetings — not just receiving briefs, but contributing at the strategy and production level where creative decisions actually get made. Earlier input means better output.
Working closely with the Art Director and Project Manager to build stronger project rationales, prepare better assets and tools, and set up every handoff — to another creative or to AI — for success. Less guesswork downstream, more clarity at the start.
Year One proved what's possible. Let's talk about what Year Two builds.
